ABUJA — President and Chief Executive Officer of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, Prof. Justin Green, has arrived in Abuja ahead of the 2026 World Public Relations Forum (WPRF).
Green’s visit comes as preparations intensify for the global public relations gathering, which is scheduled to take place in Abuja in November.
During his engagements in the Nigerian capital, Green met with senior Nigerian officials and stakeholders, including the leadership of the Nigeria Customs Service. The meetings form part of ongoing preparations and engagements ahead of the international forum.
The 2026 WPRF is scheduled for November 16 to 21 at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja, with a pre-event programme beginning on November 15. The event is being hosted by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) in partnership with the Global Alliance and will run alongside the 37th African Public Relations Association Conference.
The forum will be held under the theme, “Responsible Communication: The Voice of the World.” It is expected to bring together public relations and communication professionals, government representatives, academics, business leaders and representatives of international organisations.
The Global Alliance said the forum will provide opportunities for knowledge-sharing, professional collaboration and discussions on the future of public relations and strategic communication.

Green recently participated in engagements in Abuja following Nigeria’s successful bid to host the event. At a reception organised by NIPR in his honour, he said the forum would provide an opportunity to showcase Nigeria to an international audience.
The Global Alliance president also appealed to Afrobeats singer Davido to attend the November gathering, citing the musician’s international connection with young people.
The 2026 forum has attracted an international line-up of speakers, including United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications Melissa Fleming and INTERPOL Director of Communications Samuel Heath. Additional speakers include representatives from UNESCO, the World Bank and other international institutions.
The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations has said preparations are underway to host delegates from around the world. The Global Alliance describes the Abuja forum as an opportunity to advance discussions around responsible communication, trust, leadership and sustainable development.
Green’s latest engagements in Abuja therefore come as Nigeria moves closer to hosting the international public relations community for the week-long WPRF 2026.
