The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has disrupted the movement of terrorist elements operating around Bazama in Sakaba Local Government Area of Kebbi State, creating an opportunity for more than 60 kidnapped victims to escape.
The operation followed credible intelligence indicating that armed terrorists were moving from Zamfara State towards neighbouring communities in Niger State with a large number of kidnapped victims.

In response, the Air Component of Operation Fansan Yamma conducted an armed reconnaissance mission across Kumbashi, Awala, Rijau, Sakaba, Makuku, Mariga, Sangeko, Kotonkoro and Kontagora.
During the operation, an A-29 Super Tucano aircraft intercepted the identified terrorist elements in the Bazama general area and engaged them, disrupting their movement and activities.
