LAGOS — Nigerians living outside the country are set to engage directly with stakeholders on practical ways to support national development as the APC South-West Youth Leader, Barr. Adesuyi Daramola, Esq., unveils a new virtual diaspora dialogue scheduled for October 24, 2026.
The inaugural South-West Youth Diaspora Dialogue and Development Forum will bring together Nigerians across the diaspora for a 90-minute virtual town hall themed: “Connecting Nigerians Abroad for a Stronger Nigeria: From Questions to Practical Actions.”
The initiative is expected to move beyond discussions by exploring concrete areas where Nigerians abroad can deploy their professional experience, technical knowledge, mentorship and skills to support development efforts back home.
Organisers said the conversation will examine practical models for diaspora participation, including professional knowledge-sharing, mentorship opportunities, structured assignments, verification of credible opportunities and responsible engagement with development initiatives.
The programme is being convened by Daramola, while Amb. Jesugbamigbe Daniel Fadipe, Coordinator, Diaspora Engagement, Office of the APC South-West Youth Leader, is coordinating the forum.
According to the organisers, participation is open to Nigerians in the diaspora and other interested individuals regardless of political or professional affiliation, with emphasis placed on constructive ideas and measurable contributions to Nigeria.
Registration Opens
Interested participants can register ahead of the virtual town hall and submit questions they want addressed during the session. Organisers said advance questions will help shape the discussion around the concerns, opportunities and ideas raised by participants.
